Also, if the modeling algorithms are not cutting the mustard, it does not matter how configurable they are. If I am evaluating a real world amplifier I would never select one based on the assumption it would need hardware modification to do what I wanted. I am an experienced electrical engineer, I think the expanded (this was already in 3.x to a large degree) schematic thing is a GREAT feature, but you absolutely should NOT have to use it to get something that sounds good, so hopefully this is not what anyone is claiming. I can run S-Gear, Amplitube and POD Farm all w/out any kinds of noise problems. I could tolerate that if it came with more touch response or something but it is no better than 3.5 in that regard. I also suffered the exact same noise problems w 3.5 versus other plugins as with 4. This all points back to the fact that the modeling is not significantly different than Mk3.5.
